What is Couperose?

What is Rosacea?

Rosacea is a common skin condition on the face. Especially on the cheeks and nose. The four main features are redness, small dilated blood vessels (couperose), bumps and pimples. It sometimes looks like acne. Rosacea, like couperose, occurs after the age of 30.

How does Rosacea develop?

The causes of Rosacea are unknown. The severity of rosacea can be influenced by, for example, heat, sunlight, cosmetics and some medicines containing corticosteroids.
It is often thought that alcohol causes rosacea, but this is incorrect. It can cause a temporary worsening, as can spicy foods and heat. Because your blood circulation increases.

What can we do for you?

Rosacea is easy to treat, but difficult to cure permanently. If there are bumps and pimples, they are treated with a gel/cream and sometimes with tablets in severe cases.
