Botox treatment
Botox treatment is commonly considered, when wrinkles in the face are caused by the contraction of the facial muscles, among other things. Most of these wrinkles are located in the upper part of your face. Finest lines form every time you smile, look angry or frown. At some point, these wrinkles can still be seen; even if you are not frowning or smiling. This is a result of the way your skin naturally ages. Finally, exposure to sunlight, smoking and health problems can also affect wrinkle formation.
Botox is a brand name for Botulin Toxin. A protein made by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum is Botulinum Toxin. We use Botox from Allergan At Unicare Cosmetic Clinic Botox Amsterdam.
Botox has two effects:
✔️ It blocks the transmission of stimuli from nerves to muscles, reducing or halting muscle function. This protein is injected, in extremely small amounts and highly diluted, into the muscle fibers responsible for the lines created by facial expression (for example, forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet and brow elevator). After several months, muscle activity fully recovers.
✔️ Botox blocks the action of nerves that excite the sweat glands, preventing the glands from producing sweat.
What is a Botox treatment for?
Botox treatments are not only used to remove wrinkles, such as crow’s feet, frown and forehead wrinkles, but also to treat migraines, Gummy Smile (where gums become visible when you smile), bunny lines (wrinkles on the side of the nose that appear when you smile), excessive sweating and teeth grinding.
